Basic Structure of a Nonperiodic Source Citation

 

 The basic structure of a nonperiodic source citation has seven main elements:

  1. Author
  2. Editor or translator
  3. Title
  4. Page, section, or paragraph
  5. Edition
  6. Publisher
  7. Date

Bluebook citation for nonperiodic sources might differ significantly from other citation systems you may have learned previously. Pay careful attention to the provisions outlined in Rule 15.
